Egyptian sports are experiencing a remarkable surge in development, particularly among the emerging youth talents who are making their mark in various local and international championships. One shining example is “Ahmed Elborhamy”, whose exceptional skills and achievements have garnered attention and accolades. As Egyptian sports continue to flourish, these young athletes are proving themselves on the global stage, bringing pride and recognition to their nation. “Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed El-Borhamy” was born on September 28, 2001, in “Kafr El-Sheikh” Governorate. He is a player for "Zamalek" club and the Egyptian national table tennis team
At the age of eight, “Ahmed Elborhamy '' embarked on his table tennis journey at “Al Ahly” Club. His remarkable talent and outstanding performances quickly caught the eye of many, leading to his appointment as the team's captain, showcasing his leadership skills alongside his exceptional playing abilities.
In 2019, his skills and dedication earned him recognition from fans as he was voted the best young player in indoor games. Furthermore, his performance led him to secure the first position in both the under 21 and under 18 youth categories in the rankings of the Egyptian Table Tennis Federation for the month of August.
‘Ahmed Elborhamy's list of achievements is truly impressive. He has been crowned the Egyptian champion four times in the under 12 category, three times in the under 15 category, and four times in the under 18 category. Additionally, he secured the title of Egyptian champion once in the under 21 category.
“Elborhamy” has represented Egypt in various competitions, including the African Championships for Youth in 2016, 2017, and 2018, as well as the Arab Championships for Youth in 2016 and 2018.
He also achieved success in the African Championships for Youth, which earned him qualification for the World Championships in Austria (Hopes) in 2013. In 2016, he claimed the first place in the Bahrain International Championship, finished second in the Tunisia International Championship, and obtained the third position in the Jordan International Championship.
Recently, his skills and impressive track record caught the attention of the “Zamalek” club. Recognizing his talent and experience, “Zamalek” made the strategic move to sign “Elborhamy”, aiming to benefit from his expertise and bolster their team for the upcoming season and that after his contract ended with “Al Ahly”. Excitement builds as fans eagerly anticipate witnessing Elborhamy's continued success and the positive impact he will undoubtedly bring to his new team.
