Qatar World Cup 2022: Fixtures, Kick-off times, teams, and TV

In an exceptional world cup version, held in the winter of Qatar, 32 teams will compete for the title of the greatest championship ever for national teams. For the first time, the World Cup is held in a middle east country that is also Arab.


Since 2010, when it was announced that the 2022 World Cup will be in Qatar, Qatar started its preparations. Today, it has 8 stadiums that will host the games of this championship.


Venues and Kick-off time:


Al Bayt, Lusail, Ahmed Bin Ali, Al Janoub, Al Thumama, Education City, Khalifa International, and 974 stadiums will be hosting the games of the tournament starting from the 20th of November till the 18th of December.


The opening match between Qatar and Ecuador will be played in Al Bayt stadium on the 20th of this month. Whereas, the final will be held in Lusail stadium on the 20th of December.


Teams Participating and Groups:


The 32 teams participating are divided into 8 groups, from A to H, with 4 teams in each group.


Group A: Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, and Netherlands.

Group B: the title-chasing England, Iran, United States, and Wales.

Group C: Argentina-the current champion of Copa America-, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Poland.

Group D: France -the reigning world cup champion, Australia, Denmark, and Tunisia.

Group E: Spain, Germany, Japan, and Costa Rica.

Group F: Canada, Morocco, Croatia, and the second ranked team over the world of Belgium.

Group G: Brazil -Seleção team and the first ranked over the world- , Serbia, Switzerland, and Cameroon.

Group H: Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, and South Korea.


Dates and rounds:


The group stage will start on 20 November and end in the second of December, after which the first two teams will qualify to the round of 16 (knockout stage).


The round of 16 will start on the third of December till the sixth of the same month.

The qualified teams from this stage will play against each other on the 9th and the 10th of December.Then the semi finals will be played on the 13th and 14th of the same month.


Lastly, the third place playoff match will be on 17 December and the final on 18.

The games of the tournament will be broadcasted by multiple channels, and it differs from one country to another.

However, you can watch any game on any channel from the previous one regardless of your location, if you already have any of them.
